Kelly Hildreth - Children's Ministry Director

I met Jody in 1983, when we were both in the wedding party of Jody's brother and my friend's wedding. It was a hot, humid August day. Jody decided to make a big impression on me by passing out in the middle of the couple's vows. I felt sorry for him and the rest is history!

Jody and I now have two daughters and my most favorite times are spent with them. I love to read to my daughters and to vacation with my family. I also love to sew, and especially to quilt. If I could live any part of my life over again it would be the first few months of each of my kid’s lives... I was too exhausted and overwhelmed to enjoy them!

My passion in ministry is definitely kids... we need to reach kids with God's unconditional love in their formative years. We need to have quality programs where kids are safe, and the focus is on building relationship with God and each other.

My Ministry Goals are:

to grow children's ministries... I would love to see us reach out to the community by offering several professional quality programs such as VBS, a mid-week program, after-school tutoring, and programs during school vacations.
to make our children's teachers feel appreciated and supported
to have people knocking on my door wanting to invest themselves in children's ministries!

Kelly attended Houghton College and SUNY Cortland obtaining her undergrad in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Reading . She has taught Kindergarten, First grade, and Reading in the public school system. She has also been a BOCES planetarium teacher.
