Leon Hayduchok - Pastor
Genesis: I was born and raised in Trenton, NJ. My parents are both immigrants from the Ukraine. My childhood, in three words? Sports. Sports. Sports. Whether it was in a league or in a friend’s backyard, you name it, we played it. We didn’t do much else!
Chronicles: After high school, I went to Bucknell University, where I got my BSBA in accounting. Then, at Dallas Theological Seminary, I received my Masters in Theology, with a concentration in systematic theology and intercultural studies. At Bucknell, I met my wife, Anne-Marie. We now have a young daughter named Kirstin.
Numbers: I worked as a Certified Public Accountant for four years prior to entering seminary.
Exodus: The pursuit of peace led me out of the secular workforce and into full-time Christian ministry. My soul was restless for years until I answered God’s call.
Dreams and visions: As a visionary leader, I tend to think more in terms of dreams than of goals. Dreams open the door to a world of possibilities, a world where God reveals His plan for building His kingdom. My passion for ministry is to participate in a church community where we experience God-centered life change as we participate more fully in God’s kingdom-building plan.
Revelation: With a name like mine, I had a lot of nicknames growing up, and none of them were very kind. Fortunately none of them stuck!
Passions: Two of my favorite activities, besides
church ministry, are holding my wife and playing with my daughters.
I also enjoy problem-solving and games of strategy—especially
chess. I like the challenge of trying to solve the impossible problem,
whether on paper or in life.
