Cornerstone Community Church - Connecting at CCC
The vision of Cornerstone Community Church is: “Creating a safe environment for experiencing God-centered life change”. To experience the fullness of the vision we encourage all church attendees to consider getting connected. You may be wondering, “What does it mean to be connected?” or “How do I get connected?” The connecting process seeks to answer these questions, while providing a safe context for you to meet people and explore what our church is about.

Below is an overview of the connecting process. The Welcome Lunch is an optional social event, while the subsequent classes are progressive and should be taken in the sequence listed. Upon completion of the classes you have the option of meeting with a pastor, where you can discuss membership and choose to join our small group ministry that we call Neighborhood Groups.

Welcome Lunch
Getting connected can begin with attending the Welcome Lunch. Here you can meet people who are involved and passionate about Cornerstone, and in this relaxed setting we hope to answer any questions that you may have about our church. We also are interested in hearing your reasons for visiting Cornerstone and would like to get to know you better. Again, this lunch is optional in the connecting process, but we encourage you to attend this fun and friendly event.

Catch the Vision (1 Session)
Catch the Vision is our “getting excited” about Cornerstone class. It offers a comprehensive explanation of our history, name, mission and vision statements, core values, and membership. Our hope is that you will walk away from this class informed and excited about being a part of our church. Catch the Vision is offered several times a year and is the first in a series of classes offered to help you connect.

Heart of the Vision (1 Session)
God created us to experience a loving relationship with Him and with each other...so what went wrong? Why do we fight? Why are we afraid to be known? Why do we feel lingering guilt? Why are we lonely? Heart of the Vision is a 3-part class that explores what has gone wrong with humanity and unlocks God’s answer to a world without love. In Heart of the Vision you will learn how we at Cornerstone understand and pursue a loving relationship with God and one another.

My Place in the Vision (2 Sessions)
My Place in the Vision is our "exploring my purpose" class. Did you know that God has created every person for a purpose? In taking this 2-part class you will explore your Personality, Learn your spiritual gifts, identify your Abilities, Connect your passion with ministry, and reflect on your life Experiences. By discovering your P.L.A.C.E. you can begin to find the unique role that God has created you for in the exciting work of building His kingdom.

Live the Vision (3 Sessions)
After catching the vision, gaining a heart for the vision, and discovering your place in the vision, you might ask, "How do I now live out the vision and fulfill God's purpose for my life?" Live the Vision is a 3-part class that will help equip you to pursue the life that God intends for you. The class will look at how to become God-centered, how to write a personal mission statement, and how to set God-centered goals. The skills learned in this class should foster an intentional and dynamic relationship with God, where you can actively pursue the most fulfilling journey in life – walking with God.

Neighborhood Groups
Once you complete the classes in the connecting process you are invited to join a Neighborhood Group. Neighborhood Groups provide a small group context where you can walk with God in community. In a Neighborhood Group you will take all that you’ve leaned in the connecting process and, with the help and encouragement of other group members, seek to animate the church’s vision by exploring, creating, and committing to live out God’s plan for your life.
